Time to move on.

Adia returns to work the next day, her head heavy with the hangover she thoroughly earned from all her drinking in the Nexus. There is no nausea, thankfully, just a dull throbbing that doesn’t ease up no matter how much water she drinks.
Julia greets her as soon as she walks in. “I missed you yesterday.” Her mouth puckers in concern. “Were you ill? You look washed out.”
“I was at the detention center.” Adia is unable to hide the incredulity from her voice. “Didn’t you know that?”
“No,” Julia replies in surprise. She frowns and looks over at Four working at his desk in the back of the lab. “Four didn’t tell me…”
“I was there for hours, Julia. You didn’t think to ask anyone what had happened to me?” Something close to shame crosses the pretty blonde’s features, and Adia sighs. Julia is one of the more sympathetic Cylons, but she’s still a Cylon. Adia shouldn’t expect that much from her. “Look, it doesn’t matter anyway. A Five stopped the interrogation and led me out. I didn’t have to spend the night or anything.”
“A Five?” Now it is Julia’s turn to look incredulous. “Are you sure that was the model who took you out of the detention center?”
Adia frowns defensively. “I know what a Five looks like,” she says, but Julia shakes her head.
“Fives don’t end interrogations, Adia. They start them. They escalate them. The only time a Five lets someone go is if he’s recruiting for the New Caprica Police.” She peers at Adia curiously, as if seeing her in an entirely new light. “So why would he make an exception for you?”
Adia doesn’t know what to say. Was she wrong about Caspar’s motivation? Did he really go against his model’s programming on her behalf?
The sound of an explosion outside the lab abruptly ends their conversation. Adia rushes out, along with everyone else, to find the source of the commotion.
Battlestar Galactica is falling from the sky.
It is not an explosion, but a sonic boom as the enormous spaceship drops into the atmosphere. As it falls, colonial vipers fly out of its bay doors. They sweep above the Settlement before taking fire at several Cylon sites. All the while, Galactica continues to fall closer and closer to the ground, its hull turning red with friction, until every last fighting ship is ejected.
And then it jumps into hyperspace and disappears.
Adia looks back towards the Settlement. People are running everywhere, but quickly it becomes apparent that there is some order in all the chaos. Armed humans are calling out directions, leading the civilians from their homes to the colonial ships as the vipers fend off any Cylon attacks from the air.
It’s an evacuation. Adia’s chest swells with hope and she steps forward eagerly. They’re being rescued!
Four walks directly into her path and casually backhands her across the left side of her face.
She falls to the ground, hard, with no time to brace her impact. Which is just as well, because the force would have surely shattered a bone or two. As it is, she can barely think over the ringing in her left ear, the intense pain that radiates down her neck and along her spine, as if she’s been thrown from a horse and then kicked for good measure.
When Caspar pushed her, he must have shown remarkable restraint.
She struggles to breathe, her lungs aching with the effort, and blinks the stars out of her vision. Four crouches over her, grabbing a handful of her hair and pulling back roughly so that he can look into her eyes. His gaze is clinical and detached. “You’re not going anywhere.”
Something slams into the side of Four’s head and he lets go of her.
Adia bites back her pain and pushes herself into a sitting position. Four is lying on the ground, Julia standing over him with a lab microscope in her hand — the heavy metal one that’s normally bolted to the table.
Four groans. Julia brings the microscope down on his head again. Hard. He stops moving.
Adia gets her legs underneath her and staggers to her feet. Julia looks at her, eyes wide with panic. “Get out of here, Adia! Go!”
Adia runs.
She runs towards the fleet of colonial ships, but her adrenaline only gets her so far. She’s only partway there before the pain forces her to slow to a walk. She can’t catch her breath, she’s falling behind. What if the fleet leaves without her? What if —
Someone scoops her up into his arms. It’s her friend, Seth. Maggie’s boyfriend. She looks up at his warm, broad face, and he grins. “Can’t leave the godmother of my kid behind. Maggie would kill me.” He easily carries her the rest of the way to the Chiron. They are the last to board, and the bay doors shut behind them.
“You all right?” He asks as he sets her down. She winces from the motion and he pats her hand. “You stay put, I’m grabbing a med kit for you.”
Adia’s stomach lurches at the familiar sensation of the ship taking flight. She takes one last look out the nearest porthole before the ship jumps into hyperspace and leaves New Caprica behind forever.
She shuts her eyes, and for the first time in over five months, she can truly rest.
((tl;dr -- Battlestar Galactica came back and rescued the humans from New Caprica! Hooray! Adia is back in space where she belongs.))
