It has been a long winter, made longer by the fact that Adia could not reach any of her friends in the Nexus. When spring arrives and her PINpoint starts working again, she wastes little time in sending out a message.

Hello! This is Adia. Caspar and I were locked out of the Nexus until now. Please reply if you get this message and let me know how you're doing and if there's anything I can get you?

In the interest of efficiency, she sends it as a blind carbon copy to most of her Contact List.

There was some looting and some weather damage from what I saw. But your place might be okay, it has all those wards and a security system. If not, Caspar and I can help you fix things.

Probably. :) It's a beautiful ring, thank you for making it. Did you really put crushed tulip pulp in it? Those were from our garden. Caspar must have been saving them since last spring.

That's right. I'm glad Caspar remembered. It makes the ring even more special.

Where are you staying now? Jim's apartment? When are classes at Starfleet over?

His apartment in San Francisco. I really couldn't stay on the ship... that would lead to a lot of awkward questions.

It is a lot like university. I have classes until the summer. Why?

I understand. At least you can stay in his apartment. San Francisco is a beautiful city. I'd love to visit it someday.

I was just wondering what your timeline was for returning to the Nexus.

I have not put a lot of thought in it.
