It's nice to see Adia enjoy his descriptions, odd as they may be. Seeing people pleased by his anecdotes is still a relatively novel thing for him. "It was a young boy's dream. His dreams were unsettled, trying to understand something in his life. I don't know what. All I know is that he didn't understand the things around him and that the reverse marshmallow world made him happy. It made him feel safe. Secure."
She gets a smile in return. "Me too. I would hate to miss hearing about the wonders of science."
"It sounds very difficult," Viatorus agrees. "I think I'd rather stay at home with Lyra and read a book..." A small smile appears again and he jokes softly, "Maybe it's just as well my marriage was arranged."
