heirtothearcane: (Caught comfort)

Describing something in a way that makes it sound worse than it actually is in not in Viatorus' nature, nor is it in his upbringing. Adia's troubles are as vast and deep as the ocean, making it seem bigger would hardly be helpful let alone fair.

"Of course," he says with several rapid little nods. Really it's encouraging that she's trying it instead of telling him he's being condescending.

He watches, trying to keep his expressions respectful while acknowledging each of her pebble points. The hesitation and then the careful choice of the second white pebble gets a large, encouraging smile. He saw that, and he's exceptionally glad she stopped to think of another good point. "That's very good Adia. Someone saving your life isn't something to be forgotten." He shuffles forward eagerly. "Can you think of another light point?"
