Maybe it's a rule that god and goddesses just follow. It also doesn't necessarily make for good PR. Hard to get people to work for you when you just randomly fuck them over.

All of that worry is erased when Paladin sees the joy on the dark rider's face. It truly makes her heart happy: such a small thing but such a big thing as well. Plus, horse is just straight up happy to have some action without being chased by something awful.
