The extra bit of assistance gets her settled into the saddle easily. "Thanks," she says to Paladin, both for the help and the compliment, the latter somewhat awkwardly. By contrast, her posture is relaxed and self-assured, all those years of riding coming back to her like no time has passed at all. "It feels fine," she says, taking the reins in one hand. She laughs softly. "I haven't been this tall in a long time."
She peers down at Paladin. "You don't mind walking alongside? I'll keep him going slow." It doesn't even occur to her to worry whether she can control this horse or not. He isn't giving her any trouble.
