"You should start calling it a sandwich. See if it catches on." She's smiling to so she's joking. Mostly. It's much more useful to have one name for something than to try to remember what it's called in each town. Maybe it'll catch on.
It seems out of character for Paladin to write off all wizards as evil, but she knows her world and the people in it best, so Adia doesn't question it. At least, not at that particular moment. Besides, Paladin is asking about science! "Not me, personally. I only study diseases. The closest thing we have to putting two things together to get a new thing is genetic modification." She smiles bashfully at the compliment. "Well... thanks. I'd certainly never knowingly do something evil, that's for sure."
"So... that wizard wasn't evil yet?" She asks in all innocence, genuinely confused over why Paladin would have a wizard in her party if she thought of them all as dangerous and untrustworthy. "That's too bad that they are so vicious... they must get that from their owl side. Bears will leave you alone if you leave them alone." Owls usually do, too, but maybe they are emboldened with a bear body.
Adia polishes off the rest of her roll. "Let me know when you're ready. I have room for a hot entree." And maybe dessert, if they have something she likes.
((awww, thank you! I'm glad that she's interesting. I think Paladin is awesome, she's so vibrant, her personality really stands out. I've never played D&D but I've played plenty of games of that ilk and I love how you've fleshed out Paladin's world so it sounds like a real place instead of just game mechanics.))
