He hasn't picked up on her nervousness about his bare chest, specifically, as of yet. She's always been a little shy of him, and he feels like he's become a different person over the winter, so he's quick to assume she feels that, too. If he realized it was his lack of shirt rather than his blue skin that's got her gaze flitting awkwardly, he'd be gratified. And he'd probably push his luck a little, because he's still annoyed with Caspar.
Best for them both if they focus on the cake. He takes a taste without frosting, considers, tries it with, and then hums his satisfaction. He really prefers ice cream, but a good, moist cake is pleasant enough.
