Madrone really doesn't get a chance to say anything else as the Ghost Pokemon jumps down from the alcove, immediately grabbing the hand of Clefairy, who's chirping out to Magneton for help.
There's a small bickering between Magneton and Gengar, who's protectively trying to steal Clefairy away from the magnet trio. Many of the other Magnemite and Clefairy are growing concerned at their friend being tormented by this ghost Pokemon. Madrone can only assume what's going on, verbalizing those concerns to Caspar and Adia.
"It seems like Gengar wants Clefairy for himself. Strange how the myth behind Gengar and Clefable is becoming true here..." He doesn't move forward, not wanting to spook the already fearful Pokemon, but something must be done. Alas, Gengar is not a happy creature, as he launches an attack at the Magneton, sending the Pokemon reeling backwards, while the other creatures scatter.
