The deino catches the scent of the human who tried to move its bag of food. This time, however, that human is also holding food. Well, that's okay, then. It leans its long neck forward and eats the kibble, following up with a thorough slurp of the palm of her hand. Thanks, human! It sniffs the air and then gives the girl's hand a similar treatment.
Adia smiles softly, her confidence restored. She'll know better for next time. "Are you going to keep it, Josh? You did catch it, so it will naturally want to bond with you."
