It's hard to receive comfort and kindness when you don't put yourself out into the world, and Amelia excels at hiding. Other friends show her kindness through words, but that's not the same as a gift like what Adia offers now. In a state like this, all she wants is to be seen and heard, but that's not what she needs. It's a hard thing to ask for what you need when you don't know what that is, though.
