It looks as though he's tried to get a nice shot of the Plaza from a high vantage point so as to capture the place for her memories, just in case she can't come back in person. He knows more than anyone how possible that is.
The key word there being 'tried', as there's a rather large close up of a bird staring intently into the camera that is blocking most of the shot. After a minute, a text finally joins the picture.
